Helping the Cape Cod Community
We love our annual visits to Cape Cod and value the people, wildlife, and organizations that make it such a special place. We have decided to donate a portion of our annual rental income to charitable organizations and other non-profits that call the Cape home. We will use this page to highlight the organizations we are supporting each year.
2022 Donation Recipients
The Family Pantry of Cape Cod‘s mission is to provide food and clothing to all who need it. The pantry is a “choice pantry”, meaning that the food is not pre-bagged. Each client selects the products they want. A large selection of healthy foods including frozen meats, cheese, eggs, fresh produce as well as the canned and packaged food products are offered.
The Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center‘s mission is to provide comprehensive life-sustaining services for veterans and their families. Thanks to the continued generosity of its supporters, the Outreach Center is a robust and resourceful organization with the professional capacity to continue serving the veterans of the future here on Cape Cod.
The Atlantic White Shark Conservatory‘s mission is to support scientific research, improve public safety, and educate the community to inspire white shark conservation. I’ve already written about my fascination with great whites and what makes them such an attraction on Cape Cod. My family was excited to sponsor a shark detection buoy off the coast of Chatham for 2023.
Wild Care‘s mission is to treat injured, ill, and orphaned native wildlife for release, to prevent wildlife casualties through public education and live counseling, and to engage the community in conservation through volunteerism. On average, Wild Care receives more than 1,800 wild animals per year for treatment!
Our family loves attending Cape Cod Baseball games in the summertime. The CCBL is largely volunteer-run, and donations help support the team operations, facilities, and gameday activities. We are happy to support the two teams nearest us – the Orleans Firebirds and the Brewster Whitecaps – and are excited for the 2023 season.
