Crosby Landing Beach

One of Brewster’s most tranquil and restful stretches of Cape Cod Bay shoreline is Crosby Landing. It’s a great area to reconnect with nature because there are only dunes, sand, gentle waves, and salty air there. All of your stress and problems will be washed away by the warm bay water.

Tourists come from all over the country to enjoy the Brewster Flats at Crosby Landing. As one of larger beach spots in Brewster, it offers breathtaking views of Cape Cod Bay. Be sure to also visit during low tide, when the daily tide recedes into the bay, exposing a mile-long sandbar and its abundance of tidal pools and clam beds teeming with crabs, fish, snails, and other sea life.

Skaket Beach

Skaket Beach in nearby Orleans is another bay-side beach that is very popular with families due to its warmer water and calm surf. Just like Crosby Landing, flats are exposed during low tide, allowing you to walk out over a mile and explore tidal pools! Even at high tide, Skaket offers a large beach with soft sand.  It also features a built-in concession stand and bathrooms/changing rooms.

Be sure to visit in the evening sometime for truly gorgeous sunsets!

Nauset Beach

Nauset Beach is a broad, 10-mile-long beach on the ocean-side of the Cape. Despite being such an expansive beach, it still draws big crowds in July and August. On-site amenities include restrooms and a variety of food trucks during the summer season. The waves here are bigger and the water is noticeably colder than the bay beaches discussed above. You might even spot the occasional seal as you look out over the Atlantic!

Nauset Beach can be great for swimming, boogie boarding, skim boarding, and surfing. It’s also a beautiful place to catch the sunrise or take long strolls along the beach.
